We could not have accomplished all that we did at the reunion without the approval and assistance of Dr. David Fine, Superintendent of Schools of the Dover Union Free School District, and his staff and students. Dr. Fine advertised for us by putting notices in school publications and keeping an ad on all the schools’ outdoor signs all summer.
He connected us with Carlo Chiarenza, Director of School Facilities & Operations, who assisted us by planting our Memory Tree and mounting our plaque. Dr. Fine also put us in touch with Cathy Reilly, Building and Grounds Secretary, who assisted Colleen with scheduling the auditorium for our Quilts of Valor ceremony. Dr. Fine connected us with Jack Zangerle, Technology Integration Coach and English Teacher at the high school as well. Jack and his students Briana P Reyes and Leidy I Roque Quijada, recorded our Live Feed, ran interviews and took photos at our Cocktail Party, at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel. Dr. Fine also guided us in a school tour, gave a welcome speech at our Quilts ceremony, provided us with pastries and coffee and gave us custody of a Dragon who graced us with it’s presence at both the cocktail party and the picnic. And…Dr. Fine allowed us to paint “The Hill”.
Two other students, Lauren Oakes and Caleb Wilde earned community service hours by helping us with our raffles at Dover Day.
The Reunion would not have been the success that it was without their help
THANK YOU!!!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this reunion happen and thank you to all who attended and thank you to all who could not attend but donated items or made contributions or gave moral support and thank you to all who attempted to watch the Live Feed…we will get it to you. Please send a request to us on our "Contact Us" page.
I am still quite overwhelmed emotionally, mentally and physically by all that we accomplished together and made happen.
It was magical
Live Feed at The Grand
Please join us, on our FaceBook page: "That '70s Reunion", as we attempt to do a Live Feed event from our Cocktail Party at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel.
Date: Saturday, October 8th
Time: 8:00pm- 12:00am
The students from the IT (we called it AV) program at the high school will be broadcasting our event live for us, under the guidance of their adviser, Jack Zangerle, who is also an English teacher at the high school.
Please, be patient with us as this will be a new experience for us and the students, although the students have a much better idea of what they will be doing than we do LOL. It may start a little bit later and end a little bit earlier than expected and might have a few hiccups along the way but we will do the best we can.
See you there!

Dover Day
This past Saturday, September 17th, Colleen O'Neill Avery, Jeri Smith and Sandi Miller-Card manned a table at Dover Day in Wingdale, selling raffle tickets for items, 50/50 tickets and offered a donation jar all to benefit the school system’s Mental Health program. They also had the help of two students; Lauren Oaks and Caleb Wilde.
They did very well collecting:
$56 in the Donation Jar
$63 from 50/50 raffle ticket sales
$171 from item raffle ticket sales
And awarded approximately 6 Community Service hours.
Thank you Colleen, Jeri, Sandi, Lauren and Caleb 💕
Great Job!!!
We need your help!
Hi Everyone,
We understand that there are many reasons for holding off buying tickets; however, not knowing how many are attending makes it very difficult for us to plan for everyone. As of today, September 13th, there are only 11 more days to purchase your tickets. If you do plan on going, please, consider buying your tickets sooner than later. It will help us make this a great event for you and for everyone else who is attending.
Thank you,
Your Reunion Committee
People have been asking me what the dress code is at the Grand. I guess because it is a cocktail party you might say dress casual, but honestly, I want people to be comfortable, so I will say like I did to my kids about how to dress for school…as long as your clothes are clean and not disheveled and your pants cover your butt, you’re good to go
If you haven’t already done so, please consider adding your then and now pictures to your profile. We have all changed over the years so it would give eveyone a heads up as to who we are looking for and save time for quality conversations.
We will also be adding your picture to your name tag.
If you have difficulty adding your pictures or they show upside down or sideways, let me know and I can add them for you or fix it.
Also, if you can’t find your senior picture, let me know and I can go into the yearbooks on Classmates and grab it for you.
You can contact me by sending a message on the "Contact Us" page or text me at 401-269-8596 or message me on Messenger @ Linda L Harmon.
Thank you
Can’t wait to see everyone
Live Feed and Photo Booth
Sandi, Colleen and I will be meeting with the head of the Tech department next Friday, September 16th, to discuss how both the Live Feed and photo booth will work. Please, let us know if you have any questions you would like us to ask by sending us a message on the "Contact Us" page. We are new at this and don’t really know much about it, so if you do, your input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Come join us in Painting the Hill
We were given permission to paint the hill at the high school providing we adhere to the following guidelines:
- we paint Friday night after the football game, after all other cars have left
- we paint above where the seniors painted this year
- we use a water based paint because oil based paint gets slick in the winter
We will purchase the correct type of paint and have it ready to use after the game
Let’s start the weekend out with a bang!
T-shirt and Hoodie Order Cutoff Date

Website Issues
You may have noticed issues with the website either being slow or difficulty logging in lately.
Things seem to be working better; however, the administrators of the website have issued the following notice:
We are experiencing issues with our server that hosts all ClassQUEST sites. We realize that both the admin sites and public sites are moving slow. In order to fix this, we're going to move everything to a newer, faster server. It will take some time to make the move...probably a few days or so. The sites will still work in the meantime, they just move slow, so it takes time for pages to load. We are very sorry for any inconvenience and we thank you for your patience while we make the move. ClassQUEST Corp.
Please, be aware, that our block booked discounted rates, at all three of the hotels we booked at, END September 8th, 2022.
Please see the "Accommodations" page for more details.

Thanks to Carrie Haan and Bruce Petty we will be offering Door Prizes at both the cocktail party and picnic.
Bruce has donated a $150 gift card to Omaha Steaks for the Cocktail Party and Carrie has offered Hand & Stone Spa gift cards…each good for a 50 minute massage…for each event, as well as a third for the raffle.
Thank you Carrie and Bruce 💕
