Book Your Rooms Now!!!

We have booked blocks of rooms at three hotels.  You can find the information on the "Accommodations" page.  Please, be advised, that rates are good until September 8th, 2022 or until they run out of the type of rooms they are offering us.  This will be Columbus Day Weekend so regular rates will be higher. We advise that you call to make your reservation.  You must use the code provided to get the discounted rate.

Please don’t NOT go to the reunion because the person/s you want to see most won’t be there…
Everyone who goes will have gone to Dover whether it was just for a year or two or for all twelve years. We spent every school day together. Dover is a small school, so even if you didn’t hang out with someone, you knew who they were. We experienced the highs and the lows together and grew up together. No one knows what we went through better, other than family. Yes, there will be people who won’t be there for a multitude of reasons. It breaks my heart that I won’t see Dino Boscardin or Peter Lovi, or George Brown and others again. And then there are those that simply have other commitments. However, the ones who will be going may not have been people you were close to in school but still shared in the same experiences. I myself, through this process, am finding connections with others that I never had before and it’s wonderful.
And please don’t NOT go because you don’t have someone to go with. This is not that kind of event. We will all be there to be with each other. So please, come and enjoy new blossoming friendships and grow your roots deeper with the old.
Also, please don’t NOT go because someone else might be there. What happened in the past is exactly that…in the past. Don’t cheat yourself of the opportunity to reconnect with others. There will be plenty of other people there to interact with and who knows, maybe this will be the opportunity you need to let go and move on.

Scholarship News

Hi Everyone,

The Scholarship Committee met for the first time this past Wednesday.  We discussed what our roles will be, what information we need to determine the criteria of the scholarship and for opening a bank account. We also discussed ways to raise funds.

To start, we will raise funds by soliciting monetary donations, hold a 50/50 raffle, and possibly do a GotSneakers event, where we would get paid for all the used sneakers we collect and in turn the sneakers would be recycled in one form or another and kept out of landfills.

The big news is that a former schoolmate, Ed Tracy ‘71, has generously offered to contribute $10,000 to the scholarship fund and our goal is to match it.

Thank you Ed, so very much!!!

We are opening a bank account for the scholarship fund and will let you know to whom you should make your check payable to very soon.
